About Us

Introduction

Frank Verni and Lori Verni, Certified Master Dog Trainers, are a husband and wife team of dog behavior professionals. Our training is geared toward preventing or alleviating behavior problems in family pets. Working with each dog individually by going to our client's homes, we are able to address the important issues in the pet's real home environment! Serving Cary, Apex, Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina, Morrisville, and parts of Raleigh. Also offering group classes and seminars.

Our additional staff, consisting of Jason Reitmeyer, Certified Master Dog Trainer and Diane Saddington, Administrative Assistant bring an extra level of professionalism and services to our clients.

Education

Having attended the National K-9 School of Dog Trainers, Frank & Lori Verni and Jason Reitmeyer have each earned the title of Certified Master Dog Trainer. Our educations qualify us to train for obedience, behavior problems, police work, search & rescue, and handicapped assistance. However, our special area of interest is family pets!

Experience

Mr. & Mrs. Verni have over 13 years of experience as owners of Best Paw Forward Dog Education. Mr. Reitmeyer also holds a degree in Animal Science. As the trusted name in dog training we are highly recommended by many vets, groomers, rescue groups, business owners and clients. We are proud of the reputation we've developed, and intend to maintain the same high standards for all of our clients!

Professionalism

In addition to our training skills and experience, there is another important aspect. Clients, animals, and their families are always treated with respect and professionalism. Phone calls are handled in a courteous, informative manner with no high pressure sales techniques. When a message is left for us, calls are returned promptly. Clients are always encouraged to phone in between lessons if they have questions, and we take pride in being on time for appointments.

Community

We enjoy being involved in our community! Members of the Holly Springs, Apex, and Fuquay-Varina Chambers of Commerce, we're doing our best to be valued members of the business, family, and school communities!

We participate regularly in annual community festivals and charitable events, including: Holly Springs Dog Day in the Park, Teacher Appreciation Luncheons, the MS Pooch Parade, a multitude of community events and numerous rescue organization fund raisers. On a volunteer basis, The Verni's perform pet safety demonstrations at Cub/Girl Scout meetings and local schools, as well as providing occasional free seminars throughout the Holly Springs, Apex, Cary, Fuquay-Varina, and Raleigh communities. Free or reduced price training is often provided for rescue organizations to improve adoptability, maintain placement, or evaluate dogs, and we even have an annual scholarship program where we grant one free dog training program!

We are dog trainers because we truly care about dogs and people. By preventing or alleviating behavior problems, more people are able to keep and enjoy their pets. Less animals end up being passed from home to home, winding up in shelters, or even worse. In addition to training, we educate our clients on the importance of spay/neutering, keeping up with vaccines, licensing, & more. Our clients are encouraged to adopt their pets from shelters or rescue groups. Those considering a breeder are educated on what to look for in a reputable breeder. There is always a 10% discount for training any dog that has been rescued.
